Pour ceux qui n'ont pas encore decode, voici une explication simplifiee:
Aside from Zeta Phi Beta and Phi Beta Sigma (who are constitutionally bound; one of Phi Beta Sigma's founders help found Zeta Phi Beta), none of the other NPHC orgs have official brothers and sisters. However, due to common bonds regarding their histories, you will find that people will often identify the following relationships although on many campuses, groups will share bonds with other groups just because they like eachother and get along on campus or because they share other commonalities (and every org can find interesting things in common with the others). Common relationships (although not the case everywhere except for Phi Beta Sigma and Zeta Phi Beta): Alpha Phi Alpha and Alpha Kappa Alpha - because of being the first intercollegiate historically Black Fraternity and Sorority Kappa Alpha Psi and Sigma Gamma Rho - because of being founded on predominately White campuses in the state of Indiana Omega Psi Phi and Delta Sigma Theta - because one of the Delta's founders and one of the Omega's founders were married Phi Beta Sigma and Zeta Phi Beta - constitutionally bound; the only official brother and sister organizations in the NPHC Iota Phi Theta - didn't join the NPHC until 1996 so the brother-sister relationships had already been recognized long before they joined the family. However on some campuses you will find that Iota and Sigma Gamma Rho have a close relationship and on other campuses, you will find that Iota is close with other sororities. It really just depends on the campus (or state or region) and once again, the only official brother and sister relationship is between Phi Beta Sigma and Zeta Phi Beta.
